I’ve decided to start writing more blogs about how I create my artworks.
For me, the process of making art is everything. I often get completely absorbed in natural dyeing - in watching colors slowly appear from plants and materials. Then comes the next question: what can I do with these beautiful textiles? That part always takes time.
Right now, I’m in the middle of creating new pieces. People often ask, “What is this for?”The answer is simple: because I have to keep creating.
Lately, I’ve been applying to open calls and residencies, but haven’t been selected for a while. Still, if there’s no place to show, does that mean we stop making art?
The answer is no. We, artists, never stop.
