So what is the next step after you have learned about indigo dyeing? We will learn making resist paste using soy bean powder and discharge paste with sodium permanganate in order to create unique surface patterns.

About the event

Please join the inidigo dyeing workshop II at her cozy studio in Denver, CO. 

This is the next level of indigo dyeing to create unique surface patterns. 

You will be provided two bandannas to explore creating patterns. 

You are welcomed to bring already naturally indigo dyed fabrics as well.  

Lunch time will be between AM & PM. 

Light snacks and tea or coffee will be provided. 

All material fee, tax is included. 


  • Indigo Dyeing Workshop

    You will learn about the art of indigo dyeing and how to make natural indigo vats using fructose sugar, henna and iron ferrous sulfate. We will explore making various resist patterns including Japanese techniques, Shibori and Ita-jime.
